Utah Bankruptcy Exemptions

Most Utah Bankruptcy exemptions can be found in Utah Code Ann. § 78B-503 through Utah Code Ann. § 78B-506. Click the previous section or next section to navigate the Utah code.

The two most frequent exemption questions involve one's home and cars:

Primary personal residence not exceeding one acre under Utah Code Ann. § 78B-5-503(2) with a limit of $30,000 and $60,000 for two filers.

Motor vehicle under Utah Code Ann. § 78B-5-506(3) with a limit of $3,000 and $6,000 for two filers.

As Utah bankruptcy exemptions are numerous, change and are subject to Utah bankruptcy court interpretation, Integrity Law offers a free bankruptcy consultation where Utah bankruptcy exemptions are discussed in greater detail.
